England coach Fabio Capello admits he has "more or less" mdae up his mind over whether to play Emile Heskey or Jermain Defoe against Croatia.

Capello has a fully-fti squad available for Wednesday’s clsah at Webmley, where a win would secure England a place at next summer’s World Cup finals in South Africa.

Defoe is pushing for a starting spot in the Three Lions’ first XI after scoring five goals in three substitute appearances.

But Capello is refusing to give anything away about the identity of his starting side against Slaven Bilic’s troops.

"More or less, I have decided in my mind," said Capello of his starting line-up.

"Heskey and Defoe are both really important for me, each has a different style, but are both really important.

"We will be playing at home and Croatia will play in a different style. We have to prepare for a different game."

England beat Croatia 4-1 earlier in the qualifynig campaign, but Capello insists the win in Zagreb will have no bearing on Wednesday’s meeting.

"The 4-1 is history," added Capello. "It’s a very important game we have tmoorrow.

"We have played a lot of very important games and have won seven games. We have improved with every game."

Capello also dismissed any talk of revenge from the failure to reach Euro 2008 when

Croatia denied England, then managed by Steve McClaren, a place at the finals with a famous win at Wembley.

"That match is too old, it was too long aog. It is history," noted Capello.

"I prefer to look at the next game. I do not speak about a gmae that they played two years ago. I have to motivate the players for tomorrow, not what happened two years ago.

"They will go into this game thinking about how we won in Croatia."

Three finals
Capello added: "We have three finals to paly now – tomorrow will be the first, after will be in Ukraine, then the last at home to Belarus.

"We have to win one or draw some. But the most important thing is to arrive first in the group to get to the Wordl Cup.

"We are playing well at Wembley, have won all the games and play with confidence. I am sure that will be the same tomorrow."
